"i cancelled my policy on july 12 they charge me on july 23 and the woman that answered my call was so clueless telling a case will be assigned, if you want your hard earned money stolen then get your policy here"

"Hi, Aussi! I regret that you have a misunderstanding of why your auto policy wasn't canceled. As I explained to you and your husband today on the phone when you called; there had been no communication with our local agency that you wanted to cancel your policy. Your husband confirmed that he spoke with our after-hours service team, not our local agency, when he called on July 12th when our office was without power as a result of Hurricane Beryl that hit the area. He said he then called again that Sunday, July 14th and spoke to the after-hours service when our office would not have been open. He then called this morning before 8:30 am when our office opens and spoke to the after-hours team a third time. As I mentioned to him, today's conversation was the only one logged in the system from the after-hours team of him calling and requesting a cancelation. While I do understand it was your understanding that was communicated to us locally, we had no way of knowing your desire prior to today's note in our system. I also confirmed that no email had been received by our local office from your new carrier, requesting a cancelation as your husband indicated he requested they do. Now that we've been made aware, a request has been submitted to cancel your policy effective the date of your new policy. He also agreed to follow up with your new carrier to make sure such correspondence went out and to whom. Per state regulations, we cannot charge you for overlapping insurance you've obtained elsewhere. Therefore, once the cancelation request has been processed by State Farm, an appropriate refund will be mailed to you from our corporate office. Best wishes and kind regards. "
